North of the Arctic Circle, amidst spectacular, rugged mountains rising directly from the sea, lies the Lofoten archipelago like a string of pearls in the ocean. Fishermen, explorers, climbers, poets, writers, and painters have been drawn to these remote islands for centuries, captivated by their rich natural resources, wild beauty, unspoiled wildlife, and unique coastal culture and history.

Welcome to our HIKEFULNESS Retreat in Lofoten, led by hiking guides Maria Söderholm and Ulrica Norberg, who will guide you on what promises to be an unforgettable journey. Ulrica, an esteemed yoga instructor, offers soothing, restorative yoga sessions in the afternoons. This trip emphasizes nature and well-being.

Inthis delightful video you are greeted by Tilla, the cheerful and enthusiastic hotel director.

Hiking in Lofoten is a natural experience like no other. Dramatic mountains, fjords, long white sandy beaches, the sea and its varying shades of color, rich wildlife, picturesque fishing villages, and, not least, the serenity, all combine to give you fantastic experiences of a fairytale nature at its best!

Together, we’ll explore the dramatic landscape with breathtaking views. This year, we’ve added a hike at Haukland Beach with a full-day excursion to this stunning spot. Another highlight of the program is the boat trip where we’ll encounter the wild nature along Lofoten’s magical archipelago.

At this time of year, it stays light all night, offering a chance to experience the Midnight Sun. Lofoten's climate is milder than other places on the same latitude, thanks to the Gulf Stream, further enhancing the experience.

We’ll stay in a central basecamp in Lofoten where we’ll enjoy delicious food, restful sleep, yoga practice, sauna sessions, and the opportunity for a swim in the sea.
